Our Story
Would you believe it began over a game of golf?
With the idea sparked on the course, Ross began his roasting adventure armed with nothing but a can-do attitude and a penchant for trial and error. He soon commandeered the family bread-maker and got to jerry-rigging the perfect home roaster. After the bread-maker came a beer keg, and, incentivised with a bit of success and a growing caffeine habit, it wasn’t long before he graduated to a fully functioning roaster.
Over a decade later, the roasting is no longer improvised, but the jerry-rigging has continued with Ross crafting his pliable new son-in-law into the head roaster for Riverina Roasters. The vision now continues in Sam’s capable hands, with Sam in turn crafting his cousin, Jude into a fully fledged business partner.
Our Philosophy
Riverina Roasters blends that farming can-do attitude with the finest quality coffee.
We import high quality green beans from all over the world – selected to create blends with complementary flavour profiles.
The beans are roasted here in Griffith, and we aim to get them to you as quickly and as freshly as possible.
We’ve built a wealth of knowledge about the science of good coffee, and hopefully as much about the art of good coffee – although you can be the judge of that – beauty is in the toungue of the taster.
No one could describe us as ‘coffee snobs’, but we care about flavour and excellence and we aim to provide you with an exceptional cup of coffee.

Sam Koster is a Griffith local and is mad keen on Coffee.
The roaster-in-chief of the enterprise, Sam has built a wealth of roasting and blending expertise. He is passionate about both the art and the science of good coffee.

Jude Blik is an engineer turned corporate schmuck turned escapee from the corporate asylum. Originally from the big smoke, but now not quite sure where he belongs, Jude brings his engineering focus on efficiency and process to the business.
